WOMEN IN QURAN CHAPTER #2 | THE CREATION OF MAN

Chapter #2 "THE CREATION OF MAN"

The Holy Quran is neither a book on science nor a treatise on evolution but we find in its references to different stages through which life passed on this earth. These stages could be surmised as follows:-
1. "Allah created you from dust." (35/11)
2. Allah said to the angels "Lo! I am creating a mortal out of potters clay of black mud altered." (15/28)
3. Man was "created from a product of wet earth." (23/12)
4. Man was created from a single soul: "and He it is who hath produced you from a single being." (6/99)
5. He "created man from the water." (25/54)
6. "He created you from one being then from that being He made its mate." (39/6)
7. "And all things We have created by pairs that haply ye may reflect." (51/49)
8. "And we have created you in pairs." (78/8)
9. Allah in His wisdom "has created you male and female." (49/13)
10. "The Creator of the heavens and the earth. He hath made for you pairs of yourselves and of the cattle also pairs whereby He multiplieth you." (42/11)
11. "Allah has given you wives of your own kind and has given you from your wives sons and grandsons." (16/72)
12. "Allah has created for you helpmeets from yourselves that ye might find rest in them." (30/21)
13. "We have created him from a drop of seed." (30/76)
14. "So let man consider from what he is created. He is created from a gushing fluid." (86/5, 6)
15. "Verify We created man from a product of wet earth; Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of Creators!" (23/12-14.)
16. "And Allah brought you forth from the wombs of your mothers knowing nothing and gave you hearing and sight and hearts that haply ye might give thanks." (16/78)
17. Allah fashioned and "breathed into him of My spirit." (15/29)
18. Man is the highest form of life on this earth. He was created from dust to black clay, to wet earth, and then with the creation of males and females of the same species through the process of reproduction. He was given hearing and sight and mind. The spirit of Allah was breathed into him. The Divine purpose of the creation of mankind is that they may account for their deeds, "who hath created life and death that He may try you, which of you is best in conduct." (67/2)
19. "Lo He produceth creation, then reproduces it, that He may reward those who believe and do good works with equity." (10/4)

VERSES FROM THE HOLY QURAN ON THE CREATION OF MAN

He produceth creation, then reproduces it, that He may reward those who believe and do good works with equity. [10/4]

And his comrade, while he disputed with him, exclaimed: Disbelievest thou in Him who created thee of dust, then of a drop (of seed), and then fashioned thee a man? [18/37]

And (remember) when thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am creating a mortal out of potter's clay of black mud altered. [15/28]

Verify We created man from a product of wet earth; Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of Creators. [23/12-14]

And He it is Who hath produced you from a single being, and (hath given you) a habitation and a repository. We have detailed Our revelations for people who have an understanding. [6/98]

O mankind! Be careful of your duty to your Lord Who created you from a single soul and from it created its mate and from them, twain hath spread abroad a multitude of men and women. Be careful of your duty toward Allah in Whom ye claim (your rights) of one another, and toward the wombs (that bore you). Lo! Allah hath been a Watcher over you. [4/1]

He created you from one being, then from that (being). He made its mate, and He hath provided for you of cattle eight kinds. He created you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation, in a threefold gloom. Such is Allah, your Lord. His is the Sovereignty. There is no God save Him. How then are ye turned away? [39/6]

He it is Who did create you from a single soul, and therefrom did make his mate that he might take rest in her. And when he covered her she bore a light burden, and she passed (unnoticed) with it, but when it became heavy they cried unto Allah, their Lord, saying: If Thou givest unto us aright we shall be of the thankful. [7/189]

And all things we have created by pairs, that haply ye may reflect. [51/49]

The Creator of the heavens and the earth. He hath made for you pairs of yourselves, and of the cattle also pairs, whereby He multiplieth you. Naught is as His likeness; and He is the Hearer, the Seer. [42/11]

And that He creates the two spouses, the male, and the female, From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; [53/45-47]

And We have created you in pairs. [78/8]

And of His signs is this: He created you of dust, and behold you human beings, ranging widely! And of His signs is this: He created for you helpmeets from yourselves that ye might find rest in them, and He ordained between you love and mercy. Lo! herein indeed are portents for folk who reflect. [30/20-21]

And Allah hath given you wives of your own kind, and hath given you, from your wives, sons, and grandsons, and hath made provision of good things for you. Is it then in vanity that they believe and in the grace of Allah that they disbelieve? [16/72]

O mankind! Lo! We have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that ye may know one another. Lo! the noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct. Lo! Allah is knower, Aware. [49/13]

Hath not man has seen that We have created him from a drop of seed? Yet lo! he is an open opponent. [36/77]

So let man consider from what he is created. He is created from a gushing fluid. That issued from between the loins and ribs. Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life). On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out, Then will he have no might nor any helper. [86/5-10]

Unto Him is referred (all) knowledge of the Hour. And no fruits burst forth from their sheaths, and no female carrieth or bringeth forth but with His knowledge. And on the day when He calleth unto them; Where are now My partners? they will say: We confess unto Thee, not one of us is a witness (for them). [41/47]

And Allah brought you forth from the wombs of your mothers knowing nothing and gave you hearing and sight and hearts that haply ye might give thanks. [16/78]

He bestoweth female (offspring) upon whom He will and bestoweth male (offspring) upon whom He will; Or He mingleth them, males and females, and He maketh barren whom He will. Lo! He is Knower, Powerful. [42/49-50]

Allah knoweth that which every female beareth and that which the wombs absorb and that which they grow. And everything with Him is measured. [13/8]

Allah created you from dust, then from a little fluid, then He made you pairs (the male and female). No female beareth or bringeth forth save with His knowledge. And no one groweth old who groweth old, nor is aught lessened of his life, but it is recorded in a Book. Lo! that is easy for Allah. [35/11]
