Turkey Earthquake Feb 2023 | World News

On the night of 6 February 2023, a devastating earthquake in the land of Mosques which is Turkey occurred 26 km east of Nurdağı at 04:17 local time. This Earthquake had a magnitude of 7.8 points on the Richter scale and occurred at a depth of about 18 kilometers. In the course of the following days, The earthquake was followed by more than 2,100 aftershocks. 189 numerous aftershocks occurred with a magnitude of over 2.5. The most severe aftershock had a magnitude of 7.5. No earthquake of this magnitude has been recorded before.

Injured and Dead People in this Earthquake:

At the time of writing this huge earthquake killed more than 34,000 people now across a swathe of Turkey and northwest Syria on Wednesday, with freezing winter weather adding to the plight of the thousands left injured or homeless and hampering efforts to find survivors. Many people are homeless after this great quake. The number of injured people is about 49,000. Every quarter of an hour the bulldozers and cranes digging through the debris stopped working so that rescuers could hear the screams of people trapped underneath. There were none—only the sobs and prayers of onlooking relatives and friends.

According to the World Health Organization, the number of people affected by the disaster is 23 million. At least 6,000 buildings were destroyed, and many people with residents were still inside. Some 25,000 deployed in Turkey and thousands more were from overseas, but a bitter winter storm now threatens the lives of the survivors and of those still trapped under rubble.

Many Muslim countries are involved to help Turkey's affected people. In these countries, Pakistan is number one. Pakistan Army and Rescue teams are involved to help the helpless and injured people that were affected by this great earthquake.

This dangerous earthquake made a record in history because in the past this type of quake has not occurred as this earthquake happen in Turkey.😭
